To reset a user's password:

1. Sign in to the Google Admin console.

2. Click Users.

3. Click in the user list for the user you want to change and choose Reset password.

Or from the user's account page, click in the corner of the user's profile and choose Reset password.

To see the Reset password option, you must be signed in with an administrator account that has the Reset Passwords privilege, such as a Super Admin or User Management Admin.

4. Enter the user's new password in the Type Password field, then enter it again in the Retype Password field to confirm the change. Or generate a random password by clicking Auto-generate password.

The Password strength indicator tells you the password strength as you type. The password must be at least eight characters long. Click the Password strength link for tips on creating strong passwords.

5. Check the Require a change of password in the next sign in box to force this user to change their password when they next sign in.

6. Click the Reset Password button to save your changes.


i.) Only super administrators can reset an administrator's password.

ii.) If the user is suspended, the lock is replaced by a red exclamation mark. You must restore the suspended user account before you can reset the password.

iii.) After you reset the user’s password, you must send them their new password. If the user has two-step verification enabled, they may need to generate new application-specific passwords 
for any third-party applications that are connected to the account, such as mail clients.
